What an office move includes

Walkthrough and inventory

We look at both sites, in person or by video, and list what moves, what stays and what goes to disposal.

Move plan

Floor plans, desk numbers and a colour-coded label scheme so every crate lands at the right desk.

Packing and crates

Rental crates delivered ahead of time, or a packing crew that does it for you. See packing and crates.

IT equipment

Computers, monitors and printers packed in protective crates and tracked. See IT and server moving.

Furniture

Workstations taken apart, moved and rebuilt to the new plan. See furniture installation.

Building coordination

Elevator bookings, loading-dock times and floor protection arranged with both buildings.

How an office move runs

  1. Send the basics

Headcount or workstations, both addresses and your target date.

  2. Walkthrough and quote

We confirm volume, access and timing, then send a written quote.

  3. Pack and label

Crates arrive a week or two before the move. Each person packs their desk, or we do it.

  4. Move day

Crews move furniture, crates and IT, usually after hours or over a weekend.

  5. Set up and check

Desks rebuilt, crates placed, and a walk-through with your contact before we leave.

Planning a move in the next few months?

Most offices give notice and book movers three to six months ahead, especially for month-end and lease-end dates, which fill up first.

Our office moving checklist lists what to do and when, from the lease review to the first day in the new space.

Office move questions

How long does an office move take?

A small office of up to about 10 workstations often moves in one evening or one day. Larger offices move over a weekend or in phases, floor by floor. Your quote includes the schedule.

Can you move us without stopping work?

Yes. Most office moves happen in the evening or over a weekend. See after-hours moves.

Do you disconnect and reconnect computers?

We pack, move and place computers and peripherals at the right desk. Network and server setup is usually done by your IT team or provider; we work to their schedule. See IT and server moving.

What do we need from the buildings?

Elevator and loading-dock bookings at both sites, and any rules about insurance paperwork and move hours. Ask property management early.
