# After-hours and weekend moves

Move when the building is quiet and your team is home. Start after close on Friday and open in the new space on Monday.

## Why businesses move after hours

- **No lost workdays**: Staff leave on Friday and arrive at a set-up desk on Monday.
- **Building rules**: Many office towers allow moves only in the evening or on weekends, when elevators and docks are free.
- **Stores and clinics**: Close one evening, reopen the next morning, with no missed customers or appointments.
- **Less traffic**: Loading, unloading and driving are faster when streets and elevators are clear.

## Starting prices for after-hours work

| Item | Starting price |
|---|---|
| 3 movers with a 26 ft truck | from $150 per hour |
| 4 movers with a 26 ft truck | from $195 per hour |

Starting prices in CAD before tax, based on typical Toronto and GTA market rates. The final price depends on volume, floors and elevators, distance, timing and building rules, and is confirmed in your written quote.

Evening, overnight and weekend work: typically 20 to 40% above the weekday labour rate. Your quote shows the exact rate for your time slot.

## After-hours questions

**Do you move on statutory holidays?**

Often, yes. Long weekends are popular, so book early. Holiday rates are shown in your quote.

**Who needs to be on site?**

One contact person with access to both buildings, or arrangements with building security.
